Supporting Hope: Partnering with Abraham Kriel Bambanani Childcare

There are few callings more powerful than restoring hope to a child who has known trauma, neglect or loss. At VEA Group, we believe that meaningful corporate social investment is about standing alongside organisations that do this work every day, often quietly and always with heart.

That is why we are proud to support Abraham Kriel Bambanani Childcare, a registered non-profit organisation (NPO) dedicated to providing care, shelter and rehabilitation to vulnerable children across the greater Johannesburg area.

Through our involvement in their donor function, VEA Group joined a community of partners who share a common purpose: to protect, heal and empower some of South Africa’s most vulnerable young lives.

A Legacy of Care

Abraham Kriel Bambanani has built a remarkable legacy of compassion and impact. The organisation provides both residential care and community based services for children from birth to 18 years old who have been affected by trauma, abuse, neglect, poverty and violence.

Their work goes far beyond providing a roof over a child’s head. It is about rebuilding lives, emotionally, physically and socially. through a holistic model of care that treats each child with dignity and respect.

Currently, Abraham Kriel Bambanani operates 22 houses including a dedicated baby unit, creating family like environments where children can begin to feel safe again.

More Than Shelter

The services offered by Abraham Kriel Bambanani are wide-ranging and deeply human:

  • Safe residential care for children in need
  • Community outreach programmes
  • Provision of nutritious meals and shelter
  • Pastoral and emotional support
  • Remedial education and academic assistance
  • Social services that strengthen families
  • Skills development and early childhood development

These programmes ensure that children are not only protected but also equipped with the tools they need to grow into confident, capable adults.

Why We Support

Our involvement in the donor function was driven by one simple belief: that business has a responsibility to support the ecosystems that sustain society.

At VEA Group, we operate across industries that shape how people live, work and connect. But no matter how advanced our industries become, none of it matters without healthy, supported communities at the foundation.

Children who are cared for today become the leaders, workers, innovators and parents of tomorrow. Supporting organisations like Abraham Kriel Bambanani is not charity. It is an investment in the social fabric of our country.

Standing With Those Who Serve

The donor function was an opportunity not only to contribute financially but also to honour the people who dedicate their lives to this work: caregivers, social workers, educators and volunteers who show up every day for children in need.

These are the quiet heroes of our society.

By supporting this event, VEA Group reaffirmed its commitment to stand alongside those who serve with compassion and resilience, often in the most challenging circumstances.

Aligned With Our Values

At VEA Group, our culture of desire, continuous effort and persistent care is about more than performance in business. It is about character. It is about choosing to care deeply, act consistently and persist in building what truly matters.

The work of Abraham Kriel Bambanani embodies this spirit in action: continuous care, compassionate support and unwavering commitment to restoring hope where it has been lost.

Creating Sustainable Impact

The impact of supporting organisations like Abraham Kriel Bambanani extends far beyond individual lives. When children are given safety, care and education, communities become stronger, cycles of trauma are broken and futures are rewritten.

These are the outcomes that create a more stable, resilient and optimistic South Africa — one where opportunity is not limited by the circumstances of birth but shaped by collective will.

Our Ongoing Commitment

VEA Group remains committed to supporting initiatives that protect and empower the most vulnerable. As we continue to grow as a diversified business group, our corporate social investment focus will remain firmly anchored in people, especially children who represent the future of our nation.

We are honoured to play our part in supporting the work of Abraham Kriel Bambanani, and we look forward to continuing this journey of impact, partnership and purpose.
